Cooking potatoes in an air fryer is simple and straightforward, and what I love most about this recipe is the time I save and the flavor I get. The crispy skin of the potato creates something incredible and fantastic. Long waits and boring moments are a thing of the past when you use an air fryer in the kitchen, saving you time and mess. The appetizer plays a major role when meat or fish is served. Baked potatoes, especially whole ones, are my husband’s favorite dish, so baking potatoes is a recurring recipe in my house.

Potatoes contain starch, and I know a lot of people who simply don’t eat potatoes. However, despite their bad reputation, potatoes contain good vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. Potatoes are one of the most famous and worldwide common vegetables used in any dish. French fries, fried or baked, potatoes are delicious and filling. In most countries you will find a traditional dish where potatoes play a starring role. Enjoy it in any form.

Where is it better to cook potatoes – in the oven or in an air fryer?

Before I discovered this great device – an air fryer, I always baked my potatoes, vegetables, fish and meat in the kitchen. However, now that I use the air fryer so much, baking potatoes in the air fryer gives the same effect as in the oven, but for me it’s even better because it cooks faster and without the smell and mess. Everything I’ve cooked in the air fryer has been perfect, and these tater tots were crispy, tender, and soft on the inside. Try both options and see what suits you best. How to cook baked potatoes in an air fryer?

Preheat air fryer at 400F (200C) for 4-5 minutes, wash potatoes and set aside. Take an air fryer basket, line it with parchment, and place 3 or 4 potatoes inside. Drizzle them with olive oil and cook for 35-40 minutes.

These steps will result in delicious baked potatoes with a crispy exterior and soft interior. Cooking time can be adjusted depending on the size of the potatoes and desired crispiness.

If you have small potatoes, you can cook them for a maximum of 25 minutes.

Remove the potatoes, cut them in half and add some grated cheese (whatever you have) and seasonings.

Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted. When ready, place them on a plate, add salt, add sour natural yoghurt and enjoy alongside anything – sprinkle with finely chopped green onions.
