Making a Homemade pizza is not difficult, just put on an apron and pick up the flour. The first step in preparing a scrumptious homemade pizza is making a fluffy dough. Use the ingredients in the right amount and follow the steps carefully.
Ingredients for Making Dough
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 cup of lukewarm water
Remember that, these ingredients are for making a 10 to 12-inch pizza.
Procedure for making Dough
- You need to add ¼ cup of lukewarm water in a bowl
- Add 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar in it.
- Let the mixture sit for a few minutes and stir it if the yeast is not dissolved.
- Afterwards, the yeast will start to bloom which means that it is active. You can use instant yeast as well if you don’t want to go through this ‘proofing’ step.
- Add 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoons of salt and 2 tablespoons of oil in another bowl.
- Next up, add the yeast mixture in the flour mixture and mix it with a wooden spoon. Mix it up until everything is blended and a shaggy dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough against the side of the bowl until it starts to come together.
- Place the dough on a hard surface. Before that, put a pinch of flour on the surface and knead.
- Knead the dough until it becomes elastic and fluffy.
- Give the dough a ball shape.
- Now grease the bowl with some oil and put the dough in it. Once the dough is in the bowl, cover it up with a plastic wrap or a metal foil.
- Let it rise and leave it in the kitchen for about an hour and a half.
- Keep it covered until the dough doubles in size.

- Minced onion
- 4 garlic cloves

- In a large and deep cooking pot over medium heat, put ¼ cup of olive oil.
- Put the minced onion in it and cook it until it’s soft.
- Now add 4 cloves of garlic in it and cook for few minutes.
- Put the chunks of tomatoes in it and add oregano, a pinch of red pepper flakes, black pepper and salt in it.
- Stir the mixture and bring the mixture to simmer.
- Now lower the heat and let it cook for a few minutes.
- When you see the liquid is reducing slightly then turn off the heat and put the sauce in a dish.
After making your sauce, you need to assemble the pizza. Take out the dough from bowl on to the hard surface and punch the dough gently.
Directions for Baking your Pizza
- Preheat your oven and set the temperature at 230֯.
- Put the baking sheet in a metal pan and grease it with oil.
- On your kitchen station, flatten the dough with a rolling pin.
- Stretch it and make it thin as much as you like. If you want thick crust pizza then you don’t need to flatten the dough much.
- Now put pizza in the pan carefully and grease the dough with olive oil.
- Add the sauce in the middle of the dough and spread it outwards with a spoon or ladle.
- Add your desired toppings on top of the pizza.
- Pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, pineapple, corns, olives, mozzarella cheese etc. are some of the things you can add as toppings of your pizza.
- Now put the pizza in the preheated oven and bake it until the crust is golden brown and cheese starts to melt.
- It will take approximately 15 minutes for your pizza to bake.
